KONNIE Huq visited Notting Hill & Ealing High School on Tuesday (3) for a workshop called Science, Explosions and Scribbling, to tie in with the launch of her first book Cookie!... and the Most Annoying Boy in the World.
The presenter, who attended the school from 1986-1993, share her fascination with science among current students.
All girls from Years 3-6, along with children from neighbouring Christ the Saviour C of E Primary School, enjoyed a draw-along, creating a comic strip story, followed by a quiz.
An experiment with mints and lemonade created an explosive finale.
Konnie said: “Notting Hill & Ealing High has a special place in my heart. I remember doing English in Room 24 and I fondly remember the science block, which is still there.
“My English and Science lessons have come full circle now that I’m introducing current students to my new book.”
