A Go Fund Me Page has been launched to support the family of a 12-year-old boy killed in a hit and run.

Harley Watson, a pupil at Debden park High School, sadly died from injuries in hospital yesterday, on Monday, December 2.

Five teenagers and a 53-year-old woman were also struck by a silver Ka on Willingale Road, Loughton at around 3.20pm.

Terry Glover, 51, from Loughton, was arrested in connection to the incident last night following an appeal.

Essex police have since launched a murder inquest.

So far, £539 from 34 donators to the Go Fund Me page have been made, with a target for £1,000.

The Go Fund Me, which was set up today, says: "On Monday 2nd December 2019, a terrible incident occurred when five children and one adult were hit by a car after school had finished.

Sadly, 12-year-old Harley Watson died from his injuries.

"As a community, we are all deeply shocked and saddened by this heartbreaking event and offer our love, prayers and condolences to Harley’s family at this difficult time.

"Christmas can be a very tough time for many people for many reasons. But to have to deal with everything following this incident in the lead up to Christmas will be extremely challenging for Harleys parents.

"So we have set up this "GoFund me page to help fund any funeral expenses for Harley’s parents and family to try and relieve some pressure.

"If we as a community can help by taking this financial burden off them at this heartbreaking time, it’s the least we can do.

"Loughton and Debden residents stand united to support you all through this difficult time and offer our sincere condolences to everyone involved in this heartbreaking incident which has shocked the community
