MET Police in Bexleyheath are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on a male in the early hours of this morning.
According to police reports - the 28-year-old victim was assaulted near a nightclub and was found by both the police and the London Ambulance Service, who arrived at the Broadway at approximately 1:34am.
He has since been taken to a south London hospital where his condition is described as critical - his family have also been informed.
A 26-year-old-man was arrested close to the scene on suspicion of GBH and is currently in custody at a south London police station.
Enquiries continue.
