A Sutton man will appear in court next month charged with numerous sexual offences.
Police were called just after 8pm on Thursday, November 21 to Turnpike Lane following reports that members of the public had identified a man who had been communicating inappropriately with an individual who was posing as a 13-year-old girl.
Police attended and Paul Aslett, 46, was arrested before being taken to a south London police station.
Aslett, of Sutton, was charged on November 22 with:
- Attempting to cause/incite a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity
- Attempting to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to watch/look at an image of sexual activity
- Attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child
- Possession of cocaine
He appeared in custody at Camberwell Magistrates’ Court on November 23 and will next appear at Croydon Crown Court on December 23.
