HOTSHOT table tennis players from Ealing took the honours in the West London regional final of the Jack Petchey London Schools Team Championships, run in partnership with Table Tennis England.

Celebrating its 10th year, the event, at Harrow, attracted 141 players from 12 schools in

Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow making up 34 teams.

The U13 Boys event was won by a team from Ealing Fields School. In the final, they beat a team from Queensmead School, South Ruislip, 5-3.

The Ealing team was Aleksander Dzwonek, Bobby Seabrooke, Nathan Bedrossian, all 12, and Alejandro Lopez Martinez, 13.

Villiers High School, Southall, reached the finals of the U19 Boys event losing out to Whitmore High School, Harrow 3-5. The Ealing team was Harjot Singh, 16, Prabhjot Singh, Udayjeet Singh and Prabhat Chauhan, all 17.

Winners of the regional competitions progress to the London finals on January 11 at the University of East London.
