A man with a knife was reported to have damaged cars near a bus stop used by children.
Police were called to Aberford Road, Borehamwood, this morning (Monday, November 18) to reports of a man acting in an aggressive manner and carrying a knife.
Witnesses said a man had damaged several cars near a bus stop used by pupils at Queens’ School in Bushey.
A man was arrested and searched, but no weapon was discovered. He has now been detained under the Mental Health Act.
Nobody was harmed during the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information should contact the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101 quoting ISR 92 of 18 November.
If anyone in the immediate area finds damage to their vehicle they should also contact police using the non-emergency number.
