A man has been left fighting for his life after being shot late last night.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 9.45pm on Sunday to Beulah Hill in West Norwood near the junction with Knight's Hill, following reports of a shooting.
Officers attended and found a man aged in his 20s suffering from a gunshot injury.
"He was taken to a south London hospital, where his condition is thought to be critical but stable," a Met spokesman said.
"The incident is thought to have happened at a petrol station and the victim was discovered further down the road.
Crime scenes and road closures are in place and enquiries continue.
