Detectives investigating a robbery and are appealing for information.

Officers were called with reports of a robbery outside an address on Butlers Drive, Waltham Abbey at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, November 12.

It was reported that a woman returned home to find two men standing in her hallway who said they were police officers.

The men then grabbed the woman and forced her onto the ground before taking her jewellery and handbag.

A third man came from upstairs and all three men were thought to leave in a dark coloured vehicle in the direction of Sewardstone Road.

Two of the men were described as being of a medium build and the other man was described as being of a muscular build.

The woman did not require any medical treatment.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who lives or was driving in the area and has ring doorbell or dash cam footage.

Essex Police would also like to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time and witnessed any suspicious behaviour.
