A 300-year-old wine merchant is doubling the size of its warehouse and distribution centre in Greenford.

Chalié Richards & Co has signed a deal to expand at SEGRO Metropolitan Park in Norwich Road, beside the A40.

Chalié Richards & Company is one of the UK’s oldest wine merchants and part of Halewood Wines & Spirits, which owns brands such as Crabbies, City of London Distillery and Lambrini.

First established 1700, the business has links to the Royal Family spanning centuries, having supplied wine to six successive monarchs from George IV through to George VI.

More recently, Chalié Richards launched its Prince William Champagne to coincide with the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.

SEGRO Metropolitan Park is home to companies that include Plumb Center, Hire Station, Eurocell, Millennium Food Services and Panavision.
