A man who was stabbed outside Plumstead Station this morning is in hospital after initially fleeing the scene of the incident.
Police were called to Plumstead BR Station in Greenwich at around 7.20am today (November 8) and discovered that a man had fled after suffering from a stab wound.
Officers were able to track him down on the 472 bus route, and the man has now been taken by London Ambulance Service to a south London hospital.
The Plumstead Station bus stop and bus have been sealed off while police investigate.
Witnesses at the scene described a strong police presence within minutes, with around 10 police cars and paramedics attending.
No arrests have been made so far, and we await an update on the man's condition.
