Residents are being reminded to seek alternative routes and to plan their journeys in advance for this year's Remembrance Sunday as thousands will flock to Teddington's Memorial Hospital honor war heroes.
King George V held the first two-minute silence in Britain exactly a year after WWI had ended.
The King said he hoped: "The thoughts of everyone may be concentrated on reverent remembrance of the glorious dead".
Armistice Day - also known as Remembrance Day, marks the day that the First World War ended which was at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.
It also consists of holding two-minutes of silence to remember the people who have died in wars.
Queens Road, Stanley Road, Hampton road and Broad Street will all be closed for an hour starting from 10:30am on November 10th as Richmond gets ready to host its Remembrance Sunday Parade.
