It's Guy Fawkes Night next week, a time to enjoy a night of beautiful fireworks with your loved ones.
The annual event, also known as Bonfire Night, is celebrated on November 5 and marks the day Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested for plotting to blow up the House of Lords in 1605.
This year's Bonfire Night falls on a Tuesday, so many fireworks and bonfire events will be held the weekend before or after the day.
There is a free event in Watford's Cassiobury Park. Most other events will charge a small fee, with tickets available to buy in advance or on the gate.
To help you plan ahead and find your nearest fireworks display, we've compiled a list of Bonfire Night events in the south Hertfordshire area:
Cassiobury Park, Watford
When: Saturday, November 2, 6.30pm. Display starts at 8pm
Cost: FREE
Details:
Organised by Watford Borough Council, the event is the largest free fireworks display in Hertfordshire.
There will be music on stage from 6.30pm, and a huge bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm. The fireworks display will begin at 8pm.
Visitors will not be allowed to bring sparklers, fireworks or alcohol into the park.
Only blue badge holders will be allowed to park in Gade Avenue car park at Cassiobury Park. Signs have already gone up in and around Cassiobury Park warning motorists there will be no on-street parking on November 2 on roads close to the park.
The council says £5 parking has been made available at Fullerians rugby club, Sun Sports Club, and Cassiobury Junior School.

The Grove, Watford
When: Saturday, November 2, 8pm
Cost: Fireworks are only open to those dining or staying at the hotel
Details:
The luxury hotel will be celebrating Guy Fawkes Night with a 10-minute fireworks display.
There will be mulled cider and hot chocolate with marshmallows.
Meadow Park, Borehamwood
When: Tuesday 5 November, 7pm
Cost: Free
Featuring music from the movie The Greatest Showman. Collecting for Peace Hospice Care
Bushey Sports Club, near Watford
When: Sunday, November 3. 4-8pm
Cost: Adults (£5 in advance, £7 on the day), under 12s (£2 in advance, £3 on the day). Online bookings include a £1 fee. Tickets here.
Details:
There will be live music on stage from Ariana Live, as well as food and drink, and a fairground.
The fireworks display will start at around 6pm.

Rickmansworth Catholic Church
When: Friday, November 8, 7.30pm
Cost: £4 per person or £15 for families
Details:
Rickmansworth Sea Scouts Fireworks will begin at 7.30pm with a bonfire being lit. The fireworks start at 8pm. There will be refreshments available.

Chorleywood Beaumont Care Hom, Rickmansworth
When: Tuesday, November 5, 6.30pm
Details:
Come along and enjoy a toasting marshmallow by the bonfire. There will be hot soup and refreshments available.

Tudor Primary School, Hemel Hempstead
When: Saturday, November 9. 5.30-7pm
Cost: Adults (£5 in advance, £7 on the gate), Children (£3 in advance, £5 on the gate). Tickets can be bought in advance from the school office.

The event is organised by Friends of Tudor and the money raised will go towards the school.
The event promises to provide families with hotdogs, Bailey's hot chocolate, and other refreshments. There will also be glow-in-the-dark accessories on sale.
You can enter a raffle for the chance to press the red button to start the firework display.
Byron Recreation Ground, Harrow
When: Saturday, November 2, 12-9pm
Cost: Free if you enter before 4pm. Tickets here.

The 20-minute show at the Borehamwood & Elstree Fireworks Display will begin at about 7.45pm.
This year’s Fireworks Display will celebrate both Diwali and Guy Fawkes Night.
There will be food from around the world including, fish and chips, jacket potatoes, carvery, burgers, hog roast, Mexican, Indian food and more.
There will also be dancers, singers, Diwali art, henna and face painting.

Verulamium Park, St Albans
When: Saturday, November 2. Gates open 6pm. Display starts at 7.30pm
Cost: Adults (£7 in advance, £10 on the gate), Under 16s (£3 in advance, £5 on the gate), 0-3 years free. Family of two adults and two children (£14 in advance, £20 on the gate)

A space-themed fireworks show will be held in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon landing.
There will be street food outlets, with burgers and hot dogs on the menu. And bars will be serving beers brewed by Tring Brewery, mulled wine, cider and gin.
This year's nominated charities are The Hospice of St Francis and Youth Talk, as well as other charities supported by St Albans Cathedral's Mission Giving Scheme.

Harwood Hill JMI School, Welwyn Garden City
When: Friday, November 1. Gates open 5pm. Fireworks from 7pm.
Cost: £6.50 adults (16+), £4.50 for children (4-16). £17 for a family of two adults and two children, or one adult and three children
No tickets will be sold on the gate. Buy tickets here.

There will be two displays organised by the Friends of Harwood Hill.
There will be a child-friendly "no boom" show at 7pm, followed by the main display at 7.30pm.
There will also be street food, game stalls, a bar, hot drinks and a glow stall.
No alcohol, sparklers or fireworks will be allowed onsite.
Angerland Park & Ride, Hatfield
When: Saturday, November 2. Gates open 4.30pm. Displays from 6.30pm.
Cost: £4.50 in advance (plus £1 booking fee), £6 on the gate. Free for under 12s. Buy tickets here.

Parking will be at the University of Hertfordshire's The Forum, with a free bus service to and from the Guy Fawkes fireworks event.
The gates will remain open during the event, but the last bus from The Forum is at 6.15pm.
A children's fireworks display will begin at 6.30pm, followed by the main family event from 7pm.
