A MAN who used his car as a weapon and killed a man outside Alperton LT station has been jailed for life.

Camisan Judes Emanuvel, 36, was sentenced today (25) at the Old Bailey, with a minimum of 15 years to be served.

He had been found guilty of murder that day at the same court.

Police were called at 1.28am on April 16 to Ealing Road, outside the station, where Gopinath Kasivisuwanathan, 27, had been injured after being struck by Emanuvel’s car.

Gopinath was taken to hospital, where he died that evening.

Police established that Emanuvel had driven his Audi A3 towards a group of people in Ealing Road, all of whom managed to get out of the way, except Gopinath.

CCTV showed that, just minutes before, Emanuvel’s car had been parked up with two other vehicles in a layby close by.

All three then set off travelling in the same direction towards the staion.

Weapons and face masks were discovered inside the other two vehicles.

Emanuvel, from Redbridge, was arrested near the Target Roundabout on the A40 shortly after the incident.

Det Insp Mark Richards said: “To deliberately accelerate a vehicle towards a defenceless human being is deplorable.

“Emanuvel used his car to directly strike his victim at speed, to inflict the most amount of injury he could, resulting in the pointless and tragic loss of a life.

“The reasons behind the events leading up to [it] were clearly needless male posturing and pack mentality bravado.

“Emanuvel has never shown any remorse other than for himself. He has lied repeatedly throughout this investigation trying to detract from his own choice of actions that night and has shown himself for the coward he is.”
