A giant moustasche has been unveiled at Cutty Sark to raise awareness for Movember.

Mo's About Town, organised by the Movember Foundation, sees landmarks across the capital grow facial hair to mark the start of it's month long campaign.

Now in its 12th year, Movember encourages millions of men around the world to embrace upper lip growth to raise funds for men's health issues.

Last year saw Battersea Power Station, The Royal Albert Hall, Tower Bridge, The Tower of London and the Thames Clipper boats involved.

The entrance to the Greenwich foot tunnel has been crowned with an inflatable tasche.

Simon Traynor, Movember’s Interim Executive Director, said: “We are back for another year to encourage men to grow a Mo, sign up and donate as we prepare for Movember.

“We are more determined than ever to keep raising awareness and get men to talk more openly about their health.

“And that’s why we are taking over iconic sights in London to spread the message far and wide, and change the face of men’s health.”

Men who are planning to join in with Movember should register at www.movember.com and start with a cleanly shaven face on November 1.

After that, participants ask friends, family, or colleagues to back their grown by donating.

Funds will go on to invest in four areas: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
