POLICE have released an image of a man they need to speak to after a theft in Newcastle.

At about 2.30am on Saturday, August 3, police received a report that a man in Aspers Casino had dropped £1,000 on the floor.

He has then returned to collect the money but it had been taken by someone else in the Casino.

CCTV found the money had been taken by another member of the public and it was no handed in to staff.

This incident is being treated as a theft and enquiries to trace the person responsible is ongoing.

Now police have released an image of a man they want to speak to. He was in the Casino at the time and could assist police.

The man, or anyone who knows him, should contact police on 101 quoting reference 098240E/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
