WORK on enlarging two Hillingdon primary schools is now complete.
As part of the borough’s £150m primary school expansion programme, contractor Thomas Sinden was appointed to build 12 new classrooms, hall, kitchen, staff area, toilets and cloakrooms at Hillside Infant Nursery and Junior School in Northwood.
The £8m project included adapting existing buildings, re-modelling the entrance and altering the sports pitch, with redundant buildings demolished.
The firm also worked at Warrender Primary in Ruislip to create a two-form-entry junior and infant school for 440 pupils.
The £5.5m contract involved a new main teaching block of eight classrooms, ICT suite, library, DT room, staff area, toilets and cloakrooms.
