A Bromley cinema is running its first dog-friendly screening later this month.

The Picturehouse hopes to get tails wagging with a showing of Downton Abbey on Sunday September 22, providing a water bowl and blanketed seat for their new customers.

Tamzin Morley, Marketing Manager of Bromley Picturehouse, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that we are launching our Dog – Friendly screenings with Downton Abbey.

"We hope that the dogs will enjoy their first big screen outing.

"We will have treats and water bowls at the ready and ensure all dogs have a blanketed seat as to avoid any hairs or mess.

"The volume will be dipped as we know they have superhero hearing powers.

"The screen is thoroughly cleaned after the screening making sure those furry cinephiles leave no trace behind.

"It's a great way for dog owners to enjoy cinema without having to leave their best friend at home and to meet fellow dog-owning film fans.”
