A fundraiser has been set up to help pay for the funeral of a 15-year-old from Woolwich who was stabbed to death.

Officers were called to a road in Stratford on September 3 to reports a boy had been stabbed.

London Ambulance Service and Met Police attended and Michael was pronounced dead at the scene around 8pm.

The friends and family of Michael Kyrell Irving has now set up a GoFundMe to help with the costs of the funeral.

The family said: "Michael was charismatic, creative and intelligent boy, he was full of dreams and aspirations and had the warmest and most inviting smile, sadly he was tragically murdered on September 3.

"Our family appreciate everyone's love and support at this time.

"We would like to give Michael the send of that he deserves, we are raising money for his memorial and to put towards funeral cost.

"We would like Michael to be remembered in the most positive and beautiful way. We ask that you please help us to achieve this. We appreciate any and every bit of support."

A 16-year-old boy has now been charged with Michael's murder.

The family continued: “Michael was a vibrant beautiful soul, his energy and warmth drew people to him.

The fundraiser has already gained over £1,000 in just ONE day.

Before his untimely death, Michael was in the process of creating a brand, with a message of promoting love and positivity.

Michael's family want him to be remembered for who he was and want to bring his dream to life by spreading his message of love and positivity.

They said: "Our children and the generations to come deserve a chance at life.

"We need to take a stand and come together, as a family, as a community.

"The children need hope, they need love ... they are the future”
