A CARE home in West Drayton has earned the Care Quality Commission seal of approval after relatives and residents praised the caring and attentive staff.

Its report gave an overall 'good' rating to Care UK’s Franklin House, off Rickards Close, following an unannounced inspection.

Inspectors noted that staff were particularly good at ensuring people had the chance to take part in activities which met their individual needs and interests.

Students from local schools visited regularly to take part in events, with older students teaching residents how to use the internet, gaming machines and electronic tablets.

Lifestyle coordinator Lola Krasser had also introduced a ‘wishing tree’ which residents could use to request a special wish, like a trip to the theatre, a concert and a farm.
