Over 300 residents were treated to an open-air screening of the new Mary Poppins film at Shepperton Studios on Friday (August 23).
Mary Poppins Returns (2018) was shot at the world-famous movie studios in Surrey in 2017, in homage to the renowned 1964 version starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke.
As such it made an ideal venue for the screening.
The hundreds of attendees from the Shepperton community set out their blankets, chairs and picnics for the screening, which took place in the gardens within Shepperton Studios itself.
Before the film started, guests got to watch an exclusive video message from the Executive Producer of the film, Callum McDougall.
The message was filmed in the very gardens where guests were sitting and gave some insights into the work behind the scenes of the Disney sequel.
After the event, Andrew Smith, Corporate Affairs Director, Pinewood Studios Group, said the studio were "delighted" at hosting the event.
"We were delighted to welcome so many residents to the screening.
"We hope that events like this help people to learn more about the amazing productions that are being made in their area, and it inspires them to think about entering a thriving industry," Mr Smith said.
