Dame Eleanor Laing appeared twice in last week’s Guardian; there must be a general election on the way!
She is delighted that additional police officers will be deployed in Loughton and Waltham Abbey.
She fails to mention that these officers go a small way towards replacing the 20,000 removed by the Conservative government, which she supported.
If politicians were prepared to admit it when they get things wrong, perhaps they would deserve some respect.
