A litter-picking club successfully collected seven rubbish bags full of litter dumped by a stream and a war memorial.

Members from Epping Forest Wildlife Protection Group and the Waltham Abbey Litter Picking Posse volunteered their services to keep the district’s area rubbish free.

Green Party Cllr Dave Plummer who is members of both respected groups also helped clear Cobbins Brook and the Waltham Abbey War Memorial.

In total, three Tesco trolleys, a DVLA wheel clamp, a bicycle, buggy one traffic Cone and 30 gas canisters around Larsens Park was picked up.

Louise Foster, from the Epping Forest Wildlife Protection Group, said: “We would like to recruit volunteers to the Epping Forest Wildlife Protection Group via Facebook or the Waltham Abbey Litter Picking Posse for future litter picks.”
