A new dance hub will open in the St Nicholas Centre next month.
A partnership between the shopping centre and Sutton Community Dance will see the Mothercare space empty no more.
Gavin Waller, centre director said: “Retail is evolving with leisure and community initiatives becoming an increasingly important part of our mix and long-term strategy.
"Sutton Community Dance is a great example of what the St Nicolas Centre can offer in terms of customer experience.
"SCD offers something unique and the dance centre is another really great reason to visit us.”
The SCD team is led by Gemma Bonner who has run dance classes across Sutton for the past 15 years.
The teaching team have specialisms in contemporary dance, ballet, street, jazz, lyrical, fitness and ballroom and Latin.
Ms Bonner said: “Whether you and a partner want to try a brand-new shared hobby, have kids that could benefit from increasing their self-confidence or perhaps you want to rediscover your dance skills from the past; there is something for everyone on the SCD timetable.”
