STAFF, pupils and their families came together to celebrate 150 years of St Andrews Primary School, Nursery Waye, Uxbridge.
A picnic on the school field was joined by the Deputy Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr Teji Barnes who cut the birthday cake made by Sally Clargo, chair of the Friends Committee.
The children all received a commemorative pin badge.
The unveiling of the school’s new mosaic followed. Every child and member of staff helped create the masterpiece, which is based on the school’s ethos of Growing and Learning with God.
It incorporated everyone’s handprints before it was glazed and baked in a kiln.
