A highly rated North Cheam Veterinary centre is offering free first aid advice to pet owners in the area.

On Sunday July 21, Maven Veterinary Centre will share tips on how to prepare for a pet emergency, specific examples of emergencies owners might encounter and how to perform CPR on animals.

As well as the talk and a behind-the-scenes tour, visitors will be invited to ask any questions they have about pet first aid and given notes to take home with them.

The centre recently celebrated becoming one of a handful of sites in the UK to be rated outstanding in four areas by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

The practice has been recognised for its work in client service, inpatient service, patient consultation service and team and professional responsibility.

Maureen Geraghty Sathi, practice manager at Maven Veterinary Care, said: “I am massively proud of the team, to see the pride in how they work. It is lovely to be told that you are working to an extremely high level, which reflects what I see in the team every day.

“We are all very much looking forward to holding our first aid evening and we hope lots of pet owners come along and take advantage of some life-saving free advice, as well as enjoy having a look behind the scenes at what Maven has to offer."
