Fire breaks out at Warner Bros Studios - recap

  • Firefighters have spent nearly 12 hours at the scene of a fire at Warner Bros Studios.
  • The fire service were called just before 11.30pm last night (Wednesday, July 10) to reports of a blaze at the studios.
  • Hertfordshire County Council, which is responsible for the fire service, issued a statement at 10.10am: "Eighteen fire engines and support vehicles, are currently at the scene as crews continue to tackle the fire. Three jets and one aerial ladder platform are in use."
  • People living in the Abbots Langley and Leavesden area said they were woken up by a "very strong" smell of smoke during the night.
  • A couple of photos taken during the night show a huge plume of smoke over the studios.
