A teenage boy has been charged at Lewisham police station with the murder of McCaulay Urugbezi-Edwards who was stabbed to death in May this year.
A 17-year-old male was charged with murder on Wednesday, July 10 and has been remanded in custody, to appear at Bromley Magistrates Court later today.
Police attended Tiverton Street in Southwark on Sunday, May 5 at around 9:30pm following reports that the London Ambulance Service were dealing with a stabbing at the location.
Officers attended along with London’s Air Ambulance and found McCaulay Junior Urugbezi-Edwards, 18, suffering from stab injuries.
He was taken to a south London hospital where he sadly died shortly before 11pm.
Next-of-kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination took place at Greenwich Mortuary on Wednesday, May 8 and gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the left thigh.
