A young man has died this evening after being stabbed repeatedly earlier in the day leaving the capital in mourning once again.
The victim was knifed in a "garage area outdoors" and police were called to Tellson Avenue in Woolwich just before 2.45pm.

Police say the victim, believed to be in his early 20s, was taken to hospital but died at 8.55pm.

A crime scene remains in place and the man's next of kin has been informed of the untimely death.
No arrests have been made and a post mortem will take place in due course.
