Children and staff at a primary school celebrated another successful fundraising event after holding their fourth annual Race for Life day.
Pupils from all year groups at Thomas Willingale School and Nursery on The Broadway, Loughton raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Youngsters were encouraged to wear pink as they completed a lap around the school field by either walking or running after receiving sponsors from family and friends.
Teacher, Sue Evans, who co-ordinated the event, said: "We have so far raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research, a charity very close to our hearts as a number of the school community have been affected by cancer."
The school thanks the Wing Shack in Loughton for donating bottles of water for the children.
