Surrey Police have launched an investigation following reports of girls being filmed in the changing rooms at Epsom's Rainbow Leisure Centre.

Police appealed for help with their investigation on Friday (June 21) after revealing that they had been made aware of three separate incidents of two different girls being videoed at The Rainbow Leisure Centre in Epsom.

According to police, the first incident happened on June 3, between 5pm and 6pm:

"The young victim witnessed a mobile phone being held under her cubicle door in the mixed changing rooms.

"The suspect was a white male with a blue and black tattoo on his right hand wearing black jeans," a Surrey Police spokesperson said, describing the incident.

A similar attempt at clandestine filming in the leisure entre's changing rooms happened two weeks later on June 17, and involved the same victim.

"The informant saw a white male with ginger hair, wearing a grey back pack with a white short sleeved t shirt and black jeans," police said.

Following reports on those two incidents, Surrey Police revealed they were made aware of a second victim coming forward to report a similar incident around the same time.

Sergeant Will Cottee, who is investigating the case, appealed to the public for any information that could help police in their inquiries.

"It is unknown as to whether it was the same suspect in all cases but we would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed something at the leisure centre around these times," Sgt Cottee said.

Surrey Police meanwhile said that they "take all allegations of this nature very seriously" and urged anyone who suspected anyone of committing a similar offence to call them on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
