Police have confirmed that a man has been found dead at a property in Abbey Wood after officers were called earlier this morning.
Posts on social media questioned the presence of police cars and ambulances which could be seen in Throwley Close earlier today.
A Met spokeswoman has since said: " Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 10:30am on Monday, June 10 to reports of a sudden death at a residential address at Throwley Close, SE2.
"Officers and LAS attended. A male, aged 30s, at the address was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Although the death is being treated as unexplained, it is not thought to be suspicious."
