Burrage Road in Woolwich has been reopened after bus collided with two cars earlier this morning.

Police cordoned off the street after crash which happened shortly after 8am, diverting bus routes and stalling traffic in the street.

A Met spokeswoman has said: "Police were called at 8:14am on Tuesday, June 4 to reports of a road traffic collision in Burrage Road, near Plumstead High Street.

"Officers, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade attended and found a bus in collision with two cars.

"Two people (no further details) have been taken to hospital with non life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

"No arrests have been made."

A spokeswoman for the LFB has since said: "We were called to Burrage Road at the junction with Spray Street at 8:28am to reports of a bus and three cars in collision.

Firefighters released two people from vehicles and they were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

The incident was over for firefighters by 9:08am.

Two fire engines and a fire rescue unit from Plumstead and Bexley fire stations attended.

LAS have been contacted for an update on those injured.
