Police have launched an investigation after a crash in Morden.
Officers were called at 10.55am yesterday to reports of a collision between a red Honda motorcycle and a bus on the northbound carriageway of St Helier Avenue, near to the junction with Middleton Road.
London Ambulance Service also attended and the motorcyclist – a man aged in his 30s – was taken to a south London hospital suffering serious injuries; he remains there in a critical condition.
His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the bus stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.
