The Brexit Party were clear winners in Epping Forest in the 2019 European Parliament Elections.

The new party, led by UKIP founder Nigel Farage, polled more than 16,000 votes, almost 10,000 ahead of pro-Remain party the Liberal Democrats in the elections, which were held on Thursday.

The Conservatives came third, followed by the Green Party and then Labour.

The results of Thursday's election, which was counted tonight, will count towards the election of 7 MEPs for the East of England region, which comprises Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

This will be announced later this evening when all the district results are added together.
