Police have named a man who was murdered in Catford.
Officers were called on May 16 around 7am to Torridon Road.
The call was made after residents raised concerns about the occupant of a flat, who had not been seen for some time.
Officers attended, forced entry to the flat and found a man dead at the location.
Although officers await formal identification, they believe the deceased is 54-year-old Barrington Davis of Torridon Road.
His next of kin have been informed.
The death was originally treated as non-suspicious, however on removal to the mortuary some suspicious injuries were noted.
A special post-mortem took place at Greenwich Mortuary on May 19 and gave the cause of death as multiple stab-wounds.
A 39-year-old man was arrested on May 18 on suspicion of murder.
He has been bailed to return to a police station on a date in mid-June.
The investigation by the Homicide and Major Crime Command continues.
