Richmond's Mayor and Lady Mayoress celebrated a local beauty salons 8th year in business last week.

Mayor Ben Khosa and Jas Khosa met the owners of KissNMakeup beauty salon, a skin clinic in Twickenham on Church St, in their final appearances in their current roles.

Chamber of Commerce CEO Anne Newton, who organised the event, said: “We are delighted to celebrate KissNMakeup’s success, which emanates from the retailer evolving as the beauty market changes using technology, IT as well as natural products to deliver great service and results.

"We then share best practice across the high street in our Chamber of Commerce role as Voice of Business.”

Founder Laura Hussein shared some insight into the salon's "clarity of purpose."

"We have been providing professional services in a non intimidating, warm friendly environment since 2011.”

The Mayor said he and Jas understood Laura’s journey, thanking her for sharing it.

“I had a small business in Twickenham and know the hours and effort you have to put in to be successful delivering quality customer service, quality products at a reasonable price; it’s rewarding to please your customers, but very hard work too," he said.

"I’m delighted to be here with you and the businesses as Mayor and I look forward to seeing you as Cllr Khosa very soon!”
