Harrow Council has reminded eligible residents that the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming European elections is Tuesday (May 7).
The elections to the European Parliament on May 23 will see London choose eight representatives.
British citizens, as well as EU and Commonwealth citizens living in the UK, are eligible to vote provided they are registered.
Voting registration can be done online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
EU citizens – except those with British, Irish, Maltese or Cypriot citizenship – must also complete an additional form in order to vote.
The form is paper-based but scanned or digitally-photographed copies will be accepted by the council’s electoral services.
It can be found, along with details of where to send it by Tuesday, at www.harrow.gov.uk/elections.
Residents can also request to vote by post, though this must be submitted by Wednesday (May 8).
Visit the council’s election department online or call 020 8901 2660 for more information.
