A former dress maker has been celebrating her 104th birthday.

Georgina Stephenson, has celebrated her birthday this week at her care home in Barnet.

A born and bred North Londoner, Georgina grew up in Islington and Highgate, before moving into the The Arkley Care Home in Barnet.

Georgina spent the day celebrating with friends, staff and family at the care home, including her two sons and two of her grandchildren.

Georgina said: “It’s my first birthday and I had such a nice day celebrating.

“I’ve made many friends here, with both staff and residents, so it was wonderful to enjoy my 104th birthday with them and my family members.”

Georgina’s most memorable moment is becoming a mum to her boys, who she loves dearly.

Home Manager at the Bupa Care Home, Sarah Mair, said: “It’s always a pleasure to celebrate residents’ birthdays, especially when it’s such a fantastic milestone.

“Georgina is very sociable and loves to participate in all home activities, so it was great to get everyone together to celebrate.”
