NHS Bromley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) issued advice today (April 10) ahead of modified pharmacy services this Easter.

The main NHS provider in the borough posted a full list of pharmacy opening times in Bromley over Easter online, highlighting changes to several pharmacies, with most closing on Easter Sunday.

Bromley CCG said: "As we get close to Easter, it’s important to think about your health needs.

"If you, or someone you care for, takes regular medication, don’t forget to order your repeat prescriptions in time. Remember that ordering and collecting new prescriptions can take several days, so it’s important to plan ahead."

According to the list posted online by Bromley CCG, only two pharmacies will remain open throughout the Easter period, including Easter Sunday, in the borough — Paydens Pharmacy in Beckenham and Petts Wood Pharmacy in Orpington.

The NHS provider suggested residents in the borough who rely on pharmacies for essential medicines consider stockpiling key supplies during the break to make sure they are covered over the Easter weekend, when key services across the UK are scaled back for the holiday.

Bromley CCG said: "You should also consider stocking up on essential medicines to treat minor illnesses and injuries at home.

"You can find out what you should keep in your medicine cupboard, as well as how to treat common conditions in our ‘Self-care for life!’ section," the CCG added, in reference to another section of their website: (https://www.bromleyccg.nhs.uk/looking-after-yourself.htm).
