Police investigating a "noxious substance" attack where two women suffered facial injuries in Thornton Heath are appealing for witnesses.
A woman in her 60s and a teenage girl were rushed to hospital after they were doused with a "noxious substance" in broad daylight on a Monday morning.
Police were called to the scene at 11.44am to County Road at the junction with Norbury Avenue. Their injuries are deemed non life-threatening and they have since been discharged.
Reports suggest the substance was thrown from a van.
Detectives from the South Area Command Unit based in Bromley are investigating. No arrests have been made at this stage.
They would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time of the assaults, or who may have captured the suspects on dash cam.
