Justine Pillar, a beauty therapist, from Enfield, was inspired to set up the charity after volunteering for Crisis at Christmas.

She said: “For ages I used to think homeless people were mostly old, drunk men, but then I saw how bad the situation was. There were so many people from 16-year-olds to young mum’s with children.”

Rainbow Estate Agents on Market Square, the Co-op on Sun Street and The Prince Albert Pub on Hertford Road, Enfield.

Donations are primarily sent down by minibus every Sunday to the homeless by Kings Cross and Euston.

“I chose focus on help these areas because they were not being covered by anyone else, explained Ms Pillar. “You will see around 70 people, several new faces, who are sleeping rough.”

Ms Pillar also added how grateful people are when they receive a gift for them each Easter and Christmas.

“They think they have won a million pounds,” she explained. “One man who was at a shelter told me he last received a Christmas present since 1986.”

“The team we have to help these people really are amazing.”
