A Harrow councillor praised the quick response of his local police force after they helped clear a traveller site in his borough.
Cllr Nitesh Hirani paid tribute to the “hero” police officers who removed several caravans from a private car park in Honeypot Lane, Queensbury.
He described the police response as “immensely impressive”.
According to Cllr Hirani, the travellers were moved on quickly and calmly, and he noted how nearby residents and businesses were pleased with the police reaction.
“I was, along with members of the public, impressed with the bravery that was shown by the police and in the way the situation was handled.
“I would like to thank them for keeping our community safe, abiding by the law and order, and constantly reassuring the local community.”
