Kent Police is urging everyone to keep Keith Palmer in their thoughts today two years after he was murdered.

The officer was stabbed to death by terrorist Khalid Masood, who stormed the gates near Parliament having mown down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge.

The Bromley police officer saved countless lives on the day of the attack but unfortunately lost his own in helping others.

Kent Police said: "Today marks 2 years since the Murder of Keith Palmer defending our country against those who would seek to destroy it.

"If you get a chance today to have a moments thought for Keith and all the other officers, firefighter, soldiers and more who have paid the ultimate price."

PC Palmer was described as someone who never wanted any fuss and who was proud of what he did.

After he died PC Shaun Cartwright’s tribute, issued through Scotland Yard, said: "Keith was always happy, always the first to help anyone out, first in to work and the last one out.

"He was a proud and courageous police officer who did his job and never wanted any fuss or to be the centre of attention.

"Keith was a true and loyal friend, utterly reliable."
