Police are investigating after a man was shot in the neck in Wandsworth last night.
Officers were called shortly before 8pm on Tuesday, March 5 to Wexford Road at the junction with Nightingale Lane following reports of shots fired.
A vehicle is reported to have pulled up to another vehicle and fired shots before fleeing.
Officers attended but both vehicles had left the scene.
A crime scene was established and a shell casing was recovered.
A Met spokesman has said: "Shortly afterwards LAS informed police of a vehicle in collision with a lamppost.
"A male, thought to be the driver of the car, claimed he had been shot and then made off prior to police arrival.
"The male, aged 27, then presented himself at a south London hospital. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the neck.
"His condition is not life-threatening.
"No arrests have been made.
"Enquiries continue led by the Trident and Area Crime Command."
