A Loughton-based business is asking people to donate prizes and attend their annual charity quiz night.

Haslers Chartered Accountant, in Old Station Road, is hoping to raise between £3,000 to £5,000 for their in-house charity Haslers Foundation.

Established in 2008, the charity has raised more than £160,000 for community groups and causes including reclining chairs for patients at Haven Hospice.

Jon O’Shea, chairman of Haslers Chartered Accountants and its Foundation, said: “Every year our charity quiz gets bigger and bigger, so we are hoping that this year we can raise a fantastic amount for local causes.

“Since we started the quiz in 2013 it has managed to raise around £23,000 for good causes, but as always these events rely on the support of the local community and businesses.”

Tickets for this year’s event are still available, costing £30 which will include a complimentary drink, dinner, raffle and tea and coffee.

As well as being offered the chance to take part, several lucky businesses will also be given the opportunity to sponsor each round of the quiz at a cost of £100 to show their support.

“With their encouragement we are certain that we can make 2019 the best year yet, so we hope plenty of them join us and test themselves at this upcoming quiz.” added Mr O’Shea.

Haslers Foundations Big Quiz Event will be held at the Prince Regent Hotel in Manor Road, Chigwell on 26 February, 6.30pm.
