A crash between a bus and a car closed Plumstead High Street yesterday morning.

Police were called to the junction of Rippolson Road around 10am to reports of an accident.

A Mini had crashed into a bus and it is believed the car has now been written off because of the amount of damage caused.

Photos show the damage to the vehicles and a lot of mess on the busy road.

Police said a number of "walking wounded" people had to be treated at the scene for injuries.

Buses were placed on diversion as the police cleared the surrounding area.
