A man has been charged in connection with a burglary that occurred at a home in Potters Bar.
Scott Foran, aged 37, of no fixed address, is charged with burglary and has been remanded into custody. He is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on February 11.
The charge relates to a burglary that took place at a home in St Francis Close in the early hours of Thursday, December 13, 2018, where clothing, power tools, a watch, wallet and bank cards were stolen along with the victim’s Toyota Yaris.
Residents are urged to follow some simple crime prevention advice to make their homes less attractive to thieves.
To give your home the lived in look even when you’re out use timer switches on a lamp, radio or TV so that they turn on as it gets dark in the afternoons.
You should also keep house and car keys out of sight and in a safe place.
If you witness any suspicious activity, please report it to police and always dial 999 if a crime is in progress.
