Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a bungalow fire yesterday.
The roof of the property has been completely destroyed and half of the living area damaged following the blaze which broke out in The Crescent, South Harrow, just after 3.30pm.
A man and a woman, who were inside the bungalow, were treated for smoke inhalation by the London Ambulance Service.
The fire was under control by 5.30pm after crews from Harrow, Northolt, and Wembley, attended and put the blaze out.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and due to hot works being carried out as part of a refurbishment.
