A woman was dragged off a train by her hair, and police want anyone who saw the incident to get in touch.
The assault happened at New Cross Gate station on December 5 at around 8.05am.
British Transport Police have released leaflets appealing for witnesses to come forward.
They wrote: "Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened? Do you have information?
"If so, we would like to here from you."
A man was arrested at the scene.
A police spokesman said: "A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.
"Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and help them with their investigation."
He also added that the woman was dragged off the train after a verbal alteration.
