Dramatic footage shared with News Shopper shows a car on fire in Greenwich yesterday evening.
The photographs and video, which were taken at approximately 4.50pm yesterday (December 10), show a white plume of smoke surrounding a car on fire parked on Bugsby Way outside the Sainsbury's.
An eyewitness, who phoned the fire brigade, told News Shopper: “The car exploded twice, but it didn't take the fire brigade long to put it out though.
“Both the driver and passenger were standing near by as you can see in the picture. A bit too close I think although they jumped back when they heard the first bang.”
The London Fire Brigade confirmed a fire engine attended the blaze and said there were no reported injuries.
